This winter, on December 9th, in Japan the newest “Movie Taisen” film for Kamen Rider will be released. This year is the team-up between Kamen Rider Build and Kamen Rider Ex-Aid in Kamen Rider Heisei Generations FINAL. This time last year saw the release of Kamen Rider Heisei Generations which featured the return of Kamen Rider Wizard, Kamen Rider Gaim (with archive voice clips), and Kamen Rider Drive to help out Kamen Rider Ex-Aid and Kamen Rider Ghost. For the next edition, Toei has decided to bring actors back to reprise roles again, which they revealed today.
The movie reveal was launched in an epic teaser trailer, which you can watch here:
The first of the reveal returning from the last Heisei Generations, as well as his most recent appearance in the Kamen Rider Ghost RE:BIRTH, is Shun Nishime as Takeru Tenkuji/Kamen Rider Ghost. This time Takeru will be sporting some black hair, which is new for his character. Shun was seen on the set in leaked photos a few weeks back so his reveal was not surprising.
In the first of surprise actor returns, we have Gaku Sano returning as Kouta Kazuraba/Kamen Rider Gaim for the first time since Kamen Rider Gaim Gaiden: Baron & Zangetsu back in 2015. It’s great to see Fruit Jesus return for real compared to the recycled voice line Kouta from last year’s Heisei Generations.
The next surprising actor returning is Sota Fukushi as Gentaro Kisaragi/Kamen Rider Fourze. This is Sota’s first time playing Gentaro since all the way back in 2013’s Super Hero Taisen Z, but that was only a voice role. It’s great to see him back, including him being a teacher as we have reached the 5 years into the future Gentaro was seen in back in Movie War Ultimatum back in 2012.
Finally, the final 2 actors returning are both from Kamen Rider OOO. Shu Watanabe is returning as Eiji Hino/Kamen Rider OOO joining him is his partner Ankh with Ryosuke Miura back in that role. Shu has not been seen since 2012’s Movie War Ultimatum and Ryosuke has not been seen since 2011’s Movie War Mega Max. Will we finally get the answer of how Eiji was able to revive Ankh after all these years?
After the teaser dropped, the actors took to social media to post images and post other comments to talk about their returns to their past roles.
These reveals put all the post Decade Rider Series except for W, Wizard, and Drive all in one movie. Will these 3 series be included somehow later? Time will tell, but with these reveals so far Heisei Generations FINAL is shaping up to be a very exciting Kamen Rider movie when it releases on December 9th, 2017 in Japanese cinemas.
