Hello, tokusatsu community! It’s Joshua Perry here to talk about SODO figures on my fortnightly series, SODO Sundays. Today Saber Book 3, OOO is back, so is Zero-One, and SHODO!
Kamen Rider Saber
The rest of Book 3 has been revealed for Kamen Rider Saber. Of course, keeping with the tradition at this point Kamen Rider Zero-One will be making an appearance in the set, but first here’s what Saber has to offer.
First is the next Wonder Combo to be made in SODO, Book 3 already has Blades- Fantastic Lion and next up will be Espada- Golden Alangina. This form will be the way SODO releases Tri Cerberus and Needle Hedgehog into the line while rereleasing Lamp Do Alagina from Book 2.
Next up is the Saber form for the Wave, which will be Dragon Butasan. This is actually a SODO exclusive form as in the show when he used the Kobuta 3 Kyoudai book it was with Storm Eagle in the center, which hasn’t been made yet.
Adding on to this the helmet is made to accommodate only Dragon and 3 Little Pigs, another SODO Exclusive piece.
In the series when the Riders mixmatch books their helmets change to show what books are placed. SODO will be focusing on the helmets for the Wonder Combos so there will be no helmet for Saber- Dragon Peter, Dragon Hedgehog, or Dragon Hedgehog. These forms can be made figure wise, just no helmets or Drivers will exist. To show this off Dragon Peter was used, and he is an exception where a sticker for the Driver will exist, but no proper helmet.
Buster Jackun is also possible, using only certain pieces of that arm from the Book 2 figure.
Zero-One is back of course with one of the final show figures and the next movie figure. First up is Orthoros Vulcan, the form powered by Naki’s Japanese Wolf Progrise Key that was only seen in Episode 44.
The figure is a basic repaint of the Assault Wolf figure from last year with minor differences to account for Naki’s wolf claws.
From the upcoming Zero-One movie SODO will be making the army Rider, Kamen Rider Abaddon. In the movie there are multiple users of the Abaddon system, some who use a Slash AbaddonRiser and some who use a Shot AbaddonRiser. The main users each have a different color shoulder pad and accent colors that will be accomplished with option stickers, and a fifth one for the generic Abaddon users. So for the full array of Abaddon, you’ll need 6 of this figure for all the different options.
SODO Chronicle OOO
The OOO 10th Anniversary Celebration is back for SODO Chronicle. A few years back the Complete Selection Modification OOO Driver had shown off a number of new OOO Combos based off the future medals from Movie War Mega Max. Over the past few months some of these forms have been showing up in video games and card games across the Kamen Rider franchise.
For the first time ever one of these forms is getting a figure in the form of a stand-alone Premium Bandai SODO figure of Kamen Rider OOO- Saramuio Combo. This is the form made with the Core Medals used by Kamen Rider Poseidon.
To go along with the main 4 Riders from the series being made in recent SHODO Sets the forms of the Riders will be made as well! These will be out in the form of Premium Bandai sets.
The first one is both Blade and Garren in their Jack Forms. These will come with cards, their weapons, and their wings.
Blade’s Final Form, King Form, however will be a stand-alone Premium Release to account for his extra amount of cards and the detailed molding all over the suit.
