SODO Sundays – February 7th, 2021

Hello, tokusatsu community! It’s Joshua Perry here to talk about SODO figures on my fortnightly series, SODO Sundays. Today Zero-One and Gaim! Oh and some Saber, I guess.

Kamen Rider Saber

There is only one new thing for SODO Saber to discuss this week. Book 5 will include Saber’s bike the Daigo Speedy. This is a rare time in SODO where no stickers will be required to complete the look, all that needs to be done is assembling the pieces out of the box.

Kamen Rider Zero-One

That’s not it for Saber Book 5 as two new Zero-One figures will be joining the set as well. First up is one of final in series forms that SODO still needed, Horobi- Ark Scorpion from the final few episodes. He will come with a new version of the Attache Arrow that has a Progrise Key loaded into it.

Finally to round out the set will be a first for SODO. A stageshow exclusive Rider will actually be getting a figure in this line for the very first time, Kamen Rider Ark Zero-One. This is basically a red repaint of Ark-One from the show but it’s still amazing to see SODO focus on these obscure Riders for the first time.

SODO Saber Book 5 will be out at the end of this month.

Kamen Rider Gaim

We knew that SODO Chronicle Gaim 3, out in May, would be the final retail set in the SODO Gaim line, meaning the rest would be Premium. Following the Genesis Rider Premium Set announced a few months back we now have 2 more Premium Sets revealed.

The first one will be the Gaim Pine Arms/Ichigo Arms, Kurokage, and Knuckle Set. The set will include 2 Gaim bodies so both forms can be displayed at the same time. Kurokage though only has one figure in the set but 3 different sticker options. First is the regular yellow belt Kurokage, then you will also have the blank driver and silver belt strap for the Kurokage Troopers, and then finally a Genesis Driver and Kagematsu Shin for Kurokage Shin from the summer movie.

You will have to buy the set at least 3 times if you want to display all of the options.

The next set will have Baron Mango Arms, Ryugen Kiwi Arms, Bravo, and Gridon.

The only reason to buy this set more than once would be to recreate the arm swaps seen in the Gaim Hyper Battle DVD, although there will not be stickers included for those forms and would require custom stickers.

Forms that stickers are included for though are Gaim Durian and Donguri Arms seen in his summer movie.

That’s it for this edition of SODO Sundays Season 4! Stay tuned for the next edition on both Toku Toy Store and the Toku Toy Store Facebook page.
