SODO Sundays – April 18th, 2021

Hello, tokusatsu community! It’s Joshua Perry here to talk about SODO figures on my fortnightly series, SODO Sundays. Today Saber makes a cameo and the next Chronicle Series is revealed!

Kamen Rider Ryuki

The sixth series to get the SODO Chronicle treatment will be 2002’s Kamen Rider Ryuki. This series is known for its large cast of Riders and SODO has promised they will be releasing all 13 Riders and Contract Monsters from the series. The first set will be out at retail this August and consist of Kamen Rider Ryuki, Kamen Rider Knight, Kamen Rider Scissors, and Kamen Rider Zolda. All of the Riders will mostly just come with their visors and a card holding hand with a Final Vent card. Ryuki himself will come with his sword that has special molded hands to hold instead of the typical SODO peg hand.

The Contract Monsters will be sold in packs as Premium Bandai Exclusives. First up will be Dragredder and Darkwing. These will come with the Sword, Guard, Strike Vents, basically any weapons used by Ryuki and Knight. Darkwing will be able to wrap around Knight for his Guard Vent as well as include a spiral effect to create his Final Vent. There will also be extra card stickers for the rest of the Advent Cards.

The second set will have Volcancer and Magnugiga in it. Volcancer has little to no stickers and will come with the Guard Vent and Strike Vent for Scissors. Magnugiga has all of the numerous weapons for Zolda, including the unused Strike Vent.

Kamen Rider Saber

The final figure to round out Book 7 will be Kamen Rider Saber- Emotional Dragon from his recent movie. This form will be one of the heaviest SODO figures and go great alongside Kamen Rider Falchion.

Kamen Rider Zero-One

Finally the Kamen Rider Zaia figure from Book 7 will come with optional stickers to have the regular Thouser Progrise Keys in the driver to recreate the Black Thouser form seen in the recent Kamen Rider Genms: The Presidents special.
