Hello, tokusatsu community! It’s Joshua Perry here to talk about SODO figures on my fortnightly series, SODO Sundays. Today info about Saber Book 9, Book 10, and more Ryuki Monsters!
- Kamen Rider Saber
There are 2 figure slots left in July’s Book 9 and one of them has been revealed to be Kamen Rider Durandal. The brother of Kamen Rider Sabela will be the final of the main swordsman to join the line. A lot of his blue details are the stickers for this set and he of course comes with the sword mode of the Jikokuken Kaiji. In the show, he uses Kaiji in its trident mode more often, however, and this was something the SODO team was unaware of when putting his figure together so it was unable to make it to this release in time but it will be included in a future release.
The first figure of Book 10, the final retail set, has also been revealed to be none other than Desast! The fan-favorite villain will be making an appearance in this set along with his sword and was debuted by going on a bit of a tour of the Bandai offices.
- Kamen Rider Ryuki
As discussed last time to go along with SODO Chronicle Ryuki 2, due out this November, will be two more sets of Premium Bandai Mirror Monsters. The first is Dark Raider, the upgraded Survive form of Dark Wing. As seen in the series it can transform into its bike mode and will feature pieces to recreate Knight Survive’s Final Vent.
The next set will be Genocider, the combined form of Ouja, Raia, and Gai’s monsters. It can separate into the three monsters as well and will include stand pieces to have them recreate their Final Vents. Genocider himself will also have a swappable chest piece for his black hole stomach Final Vent attack.
