The Vital Bracelet is an electronic toy step counter/heart monitor wrist band device created by Bandai. The device uses gamification to encourage people to exercise via a virtual pet system where the characters grow and change based on their owner’s rate of physical activity and interaction with the environment as well as other players. Users are aided in monitoring said activity through their phones. The device can also upload new characters into it to train via collectible memory cards called VBMs.
