SODO Sundays – October 13th, 2019

Hello, tokusatsu community! It’s Joshua Perry here to talk about SODO figures on my fortnightly series, SODO Sundays. Today, more Zero-One and Build!?

Kamen Rider Zero-One

The first 3 figures for AI-02 have been revealed for Kamen Rider Zero-One. Zero-One’s Flaming Tiger is first up. This form, like all the others recently, has a lot of paint detail on it which makes it look really great even without stickers. Multiple hands are included as well.

Vulcan’s Punching Kong form is the next one up. This figure still allows for the Shot Riser to be held by the huge fists. The fists can also detach in order to recreate the finisher attack from the show.

Kamen Rider Build

Grease Perfect Kingdom was shown off a couple of weeks ago without knowing how it would be released. This figure will be included in A1-02! AI-02 will be called SODO Kamen Rider Zero-One A1-02 featuring SODO Kamen Rider Build. Rare to see a series from two years ago still going on in the SODO line. Perfect Kingdom will come with two different ways for the figure to hold his trio’s dogtags.

Kamen Rider OOO

We knew next year SODO Chronicle OOO Combo Change Set 2 would be out but now there are pictures for it. Shauta, Tajadol, and Pyutotyra Combos are the lineup for this set. Pyutotyra is able to combo change as well, an ability only being seen in a net movie before.

SODO Sundays – September 15th, 2019

Hello, tokusatsu community! It’s Joshua Perry here to talk about SODO figures on my fortnightly series, SODO Sundays. Today, more Zero-One, as well as OOO!

Kamen Rider Zero-One

This year, SODO will be using brand new stands in the figure line. These new stands will have pegs for the hands to be stored in as well as the ability to combine together to form bigger stands. These stands were shown off being used with the second figure from AI 01 being Kamen Rider Vulcan- Shooting Wolf form. This figure also does not have as many stickers just like Zero-One and will break down a lot to be able to do form changes. He also comes with a holstered and non holstered version of the A.I.M.S Shot Riser.

AI 01’s box will also have enough of a ratio of bodies and armors so every form can be displayed unlike Zi-O last year.

Kamen Rider OOO

The full contents of Combo Change 01 have been revealed. Gatakiriba, Latorata, and Sogozo Combo have now been revealed on how they break down and what they come with. The set will have 7 boxes in it. They also have the ability to be swapped around to make all of the OOO mix and match forms.

The second set of SODO Chronicle OOO has also been announced for 2020 and will have Tajador, Shauta, and Pytotyra Combos in it.

Kamen Rider Build

Kamen Rider Grease’s Perfect Kingdom form from his new V-Cinema is getting a SODO release. It is unknown at the time how it will be getting released but it’s happening. It seems to include a hand featuring the dog tags of the Hokuto Trio. Metal Build was teased as well so we’ll just have to wait and see how this will come out.

SODO Sundays – June 16th, 2019

Hello, tokusatsu community! It’s Joshua Perry here to talk about SODO figures on my fortnightly series, SODO Sundays. Today, lots of Zi-O and Den-O once again.

Kamen Rider Zi-O

The Dai-SODO Set that is releasing has been officially revealed. Consisting of Zi-O, Geiz, and Woz this set will feature better paint details and plenty of stickers for added detail. A sticker sheet will be included for the option of giving the Ridewatch holder any Ridewatch seen in the show. Another added feature is the clear plastic visors of the figures that give off a glowing effect when light shines through them. Woz’s Zikan Despear is also longer in this release than in his original release.

Zi-O Set 10 has also revealed it will have the next two Decade Armors. Based on OOO Tajador Combo and Ghost Grateful Damashii. Each of these forms will feature a base body in the Set lineup with Set 10 including one Decade Armor box with the stickers to make each; so, to display both forms, a second Decade Armor set would be needed.

SODO Ride Plus 2, releasing in August, has revealed most of the full lineup, consisting of DiEnd, Hattari, and Ginga. The last figure, as well as some of the accessories for this figure, are being left as a mystery. It’s unknown if the identity of the mystery figure will be revealed before release.

The SODO Another Set 1 releasing in July has releases better images of the four monsters in the set. This reveals better where the stickers on the figures are going to be as well as the fact that these figures carry over the hand swapping feature from the main line.

Kamen Rider Den-O

SODO Chronicle Den-O Set 2 has been revealed. The set will have Den-O’s Climax Form, Liner Form, and Wing Form. Unlike the second W Set, this will be a retail release. The Climax Form comes with a box of accessories that allow the form to become the Chou Climax Form as well.

SODO Sundays – March 10th, 2019

Hello, tokusatsu community! It’s Joshua Perry here to talk about SODO figures on my fortnightly series, SODO Sundays. Today, some of Set 8 and the SODO Plus set.

Kamen Rider Zi-O

After being revealed in the SODO ad a few weeks ago, we now have our first complete look at the Decade Build Armor. This armor comes with the Build Drill weapon the original Build Armor had included.

Geiz Revive and both versions of it are also joining the SODO line.

SODO Plus

Decade is the last figure to be in the special SODO Plus being released! This Decade goes all out, including the original White DecaDriver and the Pink Neo DecaDriver, the Violent Emotion head, G4’s Gigant cannon weapon, multiple versions of the Ride Booker, and hands with him holding cards. Definitely a great figure for any fan of Decade!

Shinobi, Quiz, and Kikai have also been fully revealed for this set as well.

SODO Sundays – February 24th, 2019

Hello, tokusatsu community! It’s Joshua Perry here to talk about SODO figures on my fortnightly series, SODO Sundays. Today, the rest of Set 7 and some teases for what’s to come.

Kamen Rider Zi-O

The final figures of Set 7 have been revealed. First up is Oma Zi-O! Teased back around Christmas this figure will finally be releasing in this set. His stand confirms his name as Kamen Rider Oma Zi-O, which is the first time he’s been referred to as an official Kamen Rider.

The other final figure of the Set is Woz’s Futuring Kikai armor. The final future Rider armor Woz has used in the show will also include both versions of Zi-O II’s sword. An extra Woz body from Set 6 will be included in Set 7 for those who don’t own one yet.

A new SODO ad has teased 2 figures not shown before. First was the Zi-O Decade Armor in its Build RabbitTank Sparkling mode. Confirming that we would be getting these armors in the line. Also Cross-Z Evol from the upcoming Cross-Z V-Cinema was also shown. With SODO Set 8 being another featuring Build set this makes a lot of sense to be included in the next set.

This ad also revealed the prototypes for some Another Riders from Zi-O! Another Build, Ex-Aid, Faiz, and Gaim were shown off in the ad. No information on how many they are doing or the way they are to be released yet but stay tuned.
